CHAPTER 10: The Night She Was Stolen ⚫️💣

🌑 Scene — Calm Before the Storm

The mansion stood quiet under the moonlight. Crickets chirped lazily. The world slept.

Inside her room, Avantika sat on her bed cross-legged, jotting the final lines in her journal. The faint aroma of lavender from her diffuser mixed with the sharp scent of paper and ink.

"Bas... aaj ka itna hi. Kal NGO ka fundraiser plan bhi ready karna hai," she whispered to herself, closing the diary.

She locked her door — a habit. A routine. Safety in familiarity.

"Sagar busy hai... kaam mein dooba hua... aur main bhi thak gayi hoon." She pulled the blanket over herself and drifted off.

💀 Scene Shift — The Devil in the Shadows

Outside, a black SUV parked two lanes away. Veer stepped out, dressed in black, hoodie pulled over, gloves on. His breath was steady... his heartbeat, anything but.

"Aaj... aaj tum meri ho... Avantika... ya meri Avira," his voice trembled, part love, part madness.

In his mind, Saanvi's face flashed... overlapped perfectly with Avantika’s.

"Main tumhe phir nahi khona chahta... kabhi nahi."

⚡ The Break-In

The lock on Avantika’s bedroom door stood no chance. One twist with the wire — click.

Door creaked open.

Moonlight bathed Avantika’s peaceful face. For a second, even Veer’s shaking hands paused.

"Bilkul wahi... bilkul meri Saanvi jaise... ya Avira... farq hi kya hai ab."

His steps were silent. The white cloth soaked in chloroform already in hand.

🔥 The Attack

A floorboard creaked under his shoe.

Avantika stirred.

"Hmm...? Kya awaaz thi...?"

Before her brain could process danger — A hand clamped her mouth. The pungent smell filled her nose.

"Mmmph...!!" — her scream muffled.

She thrashed. Legs kicked. Elbows jabbed. Her nails scraped Veer’s arm.

Avantika (muffled, panicking):

"Chhodo mujhe!! Chhodo...!!"

Veer (dark whisper, trembling smile):

"Shhh... bas do minute... phir kabhi alag nahi hona hai hum dono ko."

Her limbs weakened. Vision swirled. Breath slowed. Her world went black.

"Sagar... her mind whimpered before everything faded.

💣 Parallel — Sagar Feels It

Downstairs in his study, fingers skimming a file — Sagar sat straight.

His heart — thump. thump. thump.

"Kuch toh... kuch toh galat hai... kyun itna uneasy lag raha hai?"

He stood up — instincts screaming.

Stormed upstairs. Grabbed Avantika’s doorknob — unlocked. Open.

His breath hitched.

"Avantika...??" — panic rising.

His eyes scanned — the messy bed, lamp fallen, diary on the floor.

The smell. The sharp sting of chemicals.

Sagar froze. A single terrifying realization wrapped around his throat.

"AVANTIKA!!!" — the scream shattered the night.

🔥 Sagar’s Rage Ignites

Vase — shattered.

Glass — splintered under his foot.

Phone whipped out. Gun drawer yanked open.

Sagar (voice dead cold):

"Diwan... she’s gone. LOCK THE CITY DOWN. Borders. Highways. Air. Sea. Sab kuch BAND KAR DO. CCTV. Check every frame."

"Mujhe... meri Avantika... chahiye." — his growl rumbled like an earthquake.

🩸 Meanwhile — Veer’s Car Racing Into The Abyss

In the backseat, Avantika’s unconscious form slumped sideways. Veer glanced at her, fingers brushing her cheek, like she was fragile... like she was sacred... like she wasn’t stolen, but returned to him by fate.

"Dekha, Avira... duniya ne mujhe tumse alag kar diya tha. Par ab... khud kismat ne tumhe waapis diya hai. Tum meri ho. Tum sirf meri ho."

His grip on the wheel tightened. The lines between Saanvi... Avira... and Avantika... completely blurred.

🌑 Scene — Sagar’s Mansion: The Moment the World Shattered

Sagar’s POV

His footsteps echoed through the marble floor as he stormed into Avantika’s room — empty. A sharp sting hit his nostrils — chloroform. His brain blanked for two full seconds. Then the rage… oh, the rage.

His fists clenched. Jaw tightened.

“Avantika... tum kahaan ho...?” His voice broke, cracking like shattered glass.

A scream tore out of him, so guttural, it made the walls tremble.

“DIWAAAN!!! SAB BAND KAR DO!! Borders! Checkpoints! Ports! CCTV! No one leaves this city until I have her back!!”

He swiped his arm across his desk — files scattered, a crystal lamp shattered. His breathing ragged, chest heaving.

“How DARE you, Veer! Mujhse meri Avantika cheenega tu?!”

🔥 Scene — Veer’s Hideout: Obsession Unfolds

Avantika’s POV

Her eyes fluttered open — heavy, groggy. Darkness surrounded her, only a single dim bulb swaying above.

Her wrists — bound. Ankles — tied. Mouth — taped. Terror surged.

"Yeh... sapna hai... nahi... nahi... yeh sach hai...”

A soft voice broke the silence.

“Tum uth gayi... meri Avira...”

She flinched. Her eyes locked onto him — Veer. Sitting there, staring. Smiling. Like he wasn’t a monster.

“Dekho... tum bilkul waise hi lagti ho jaise tum thi... Saanvi... meri Avira...”

He stepped closer, crouched to her level. Fingers brushed her cheek with disturbing softness.

Avantika jerked back, screamed through the tape. "MMPHH!!"

Veer tilted his head.

“Ssshhh... mat daro... dard nahi dunga. Sirf tumse baat karni hai. Bas yaad dilaana hai... ki tum meri thi... ho... aur rahogi.”

Her body trembled. Not from fear alone... but pure disgust.

"Main Avantika hoon... tum pagal ho... pagal...!!"

💀 Scene — Sagar Turns Into the Devil They Fear

Sagar’s POV

The security room was a flurry of activity. Screens flashing. Maps open. Guards running.

Diwan:

"Sir, we found something. Ek private warehouse, outskirts mein. Veer ka ek purana spot."

Sagar’s face darkened, like the devil had shed his human skin.

“Prepare the convoy. Saare log. Armed. Heavy. Mujhe koi legal ya illegal ka farak nahi chahiye.”

He strapped a gun to his belt, cocked another rifle, then growled —

“Main tumhe zinda nahi chhodunga Veer. Main tumhe zameen mein gaad dunga... lekin pehle... meri Avantika mujhe wapas chahiye. SAHI SALAAMAT.“

🔗 Scene 4 — Veer’s Delusion Spirals

Veer pulled out a dusty, worn-out box.

Inside? Photographs. Letters. Memories of Saanvi — the girl he once loved... who fate had stolen from him.

He held up a photo of Saanvi in a white salwar, tilting her head exactly like Avantika had done the first time he saw her.

“Dekho... tum kaise bhool sakti ho mujhe...? Tum badal gayi... naam badal gaya... magar aankhein... aankhein wahi hain.”

Tears slipped down Avantika’s cheeks. Tears of rage. Helplessness. Hatred.

"MMPPHHH!!!" — her muffled scream exploded into the room.

💣 Scene 5 — Sagar’s Convoy Moves: The Devil Comes Calling

The Prabhakar convoy ripped through the roads. SUVs, bikes, armed trucks.

Inside the lead car, Sagar loaded bullets into his gun. His face? A mask of death.

“Aaj raat... tu khatam, Veer.”

His phone buzzed — a ping. Location confirmed. Veer’s hideout.

Sagar’s knuckles turned white.

“Speed badhao. Time khatam ho gaya.”

🩸 Final Scene — Fade to Black

Avantika’s body trembled against the ropes. Veer stood inches away, murmuring stories to her as if it were a bedtime tale.

Her mind screamed: “Sagar... Sagar... jaldi...”

In the distance — the sound of tires screeching. Engines roaring.

The devil was coming.

Winter Beauty — Writer. Dreamer. Story Weaver. I write stories that can whisper, scream, or simply exist in silence. My words wander between genres — sometimes soft and poetic, sometimes dark and emotional, sometimes quiet enough to feel real. I believe writing isn’t about one voice; it’s about many — the tender, the bold, the broken, and the brave. Through every story, I explore what it means to be human, to feel deeply, and to translate emotions into art. Whether it’s a love that feels like winter, a tragedy that lingers like memory, or a line that sounds like a heartbeat — I write it all. Because every story deserves its own kind of beauty.
